2025 Year in Review
To Our Members
IRC Statement:
Your continued partnership with the IRC has been instrumental to our success in 2025, and we extend our deepest gratitude for your engagement and support. This year marked continued growth for the IRC, with new carrier members and the addition of membership categories to include academic institutions and industry service providers. Our growth has enabled us to add a data scientist to our staff and positioned IRC to broaden our influence across the industry in the coming year.
The IRC served our mission to provide evidence-based analysis on critical insurance policy issues by delivering eight research studies in 2025. These studies have included examinations of insurance affordability for both personal auto and homeowners, uninsured and underinsured motorists, consumer attitudes regarding aerial imagery applications, increasing motor vehicle tort litigation, and rate regulation in homeowners insurance.
Looking ahead to 2026, we enter an exciting phase of our Auto Injury Claims Analytic Database (AICAD) initiative. After years of development and data gathering, the database is poised to fuel ongoing research into injury claim costs, medical treatment trends, and legal system abuse. The lessons learned in assembling this first version of AICAD will guide us in an update of this crucial data resource while we work toward increased efficiency for future iterations. None of this would be possible without your sustained commitment to this ambitious undertaking.
Through your participation in the IRC, you contribute to both your organization’s strategic knowledge and the broader industry conversation on matters of public importance.
